Make Blogger Custom Domain Open On Glo Using Cloudflare

Spending a lot of time writing articles without getting reasonable traffic to your content could be so tiring but discovering that the few loyal visitors you have are no longer getting access to your website due to network provider restrictions may let frustration set into your blogging career.

The fix does not require the use of a VPN. It is a one-time solution that I will be guiding you through. There are two sections in this tutorial. In the first part, I will reveal to you the procedures required to register an account and then add your site URL to a service called Cloudflare.

The next will be how you can configure your nameservers from your domain registrar dashboard. We will be making use of Godaddy in the course of this lesson.

Things Needed to Make Blogger Custom Domain Open On Glo

• A PC (recommended) or smartphone
• A working data connection
• Cloudflare account
• Valid email address
• Your domain registrar account e.g Godaddy

Registering and Adding Your Site URL to Cloudflare

Let us begin with the first step as we aim towards making our blogger custom domain open on Glo. What we will do now is open an account with Cloudflare.

Go straight to https://www.cloudflare.com and click on the 'Sign Up' link located at the top right corner of your screen.

On the next page, you will have to enter your email and a password in the corresponding fields. Please be sure that you have control of the provided email address because you will need it later. Tap on 'Create Account' once you are done.

Ride on by keying in the website you want to make reachable on the Glo network as can be seen below. Do not put satonova.com o. Replace it with yours. Lol! Now, click 'Add Site'

A page like the one displayed in the image below will pop up. Once there, select 'Next'.

It is now time to pick a plan. Unless you want some other features aside what we are after in this tutorial, just go for the 'Free' plan and click 'Confirm Plan'. If you no get money, hide your face! Hehehe!

Click 'Confirm'

If you have followed all the above steps properly, a page displaying the DNS records of your domain will show up. Scroll down and click 'Continue'.

An environment displaying a list of nameservers will show up. The values under the 'from' section on the left are your nameservers while the ones located on the right are the Cloudflare nameservers we will be working with. Leave the tab open and open another for the next step.

It is now time to add the Cloudflare nameservers to the dashboard of your domain registrar.

Adding Cloudflare Nameservers to Godaddy to Make Blogger Custom Domain Open On Glo

The second stage in the process of making Blogger custom domain open on Glo is to insert Cloudflare nameservers into your domain registrar records. Like I said earlier, we will be using Godaddy as a case study.

Type www.godaddy.com in a new tab, login and when you see the domain you would registered in the first step, click on 'DNS' to get access to the 'DNS Management' section.

Scroll down to where you have 'Nameservers' as there is where our business lies. You will see the same set of nameservers we saw at the left column on Cloudflare. Tap on 'Change'. Not the APC type o. Select 'Custom'.

Good! It is time to add the ones found on the right in the first stage of this lesson. Go back to the previous tab, copy the nameservers and paste in the first and second fields respectively. Click 'Save'.

We are done with this part

Go back to the Cloudflare tab and click 'Continue'.

On the following page, scroll down to where you have 'Recheck Now' and tap on it.

A message will show up letting you know that your site has been queued up.

Having done all these, open your mail to find an activation email from Cloudflare, click on the link in the email and you're done.
